exit junction 37 of the M1 motorway, follow signs for the a628 towards Manchester. at the rounabout turn left, then at the next mini-roundabout turn right down Barnsley Road. Follow the road down the hill past the health club then turn left. follow that road up to the crossroads and then turn left again, this is the High Street. drive approx 100yds and you will see some shops and the post office on your left hand side. turn left after the shops in between the Thornley Pub and the welfare is through the gates at the bottom.
